PARIS — O ex-diretor-geral do Fundo Monetário Internacional (FMI), Dominique Strauss-Kahn, acredita que seu smartphone, que desapareceu pouco antes de ele ter sido detido por agressão sexual em Nova York, foi grampeado, afirmaram fontes próximas a ele neste sábado.
Segundo essas mesmas fontes, Strauss-Kahn teria dito a sua mulher, Anne Sinclair, que "algo sério" aconteceu quando ele estava a caminho do aeroporto para retornar à França.
Strauss-Kahn, que foi tirado do avião após a denúncia de agressão sexual feita por uma camareira do hotel onde ele estava hospedado, estaria se referindo à perda do telefone e à suspeita de que ele havia sido grampeado, disseram as fontes.
O telefone em questão, que desapareceu no Sofitel de Manhattan, jamais foi encontrado pela polícia ou por detetives particulares contratados pela defesa de Strauss-Kahn, conforme constatou a investigação do jornalista Edward Jay Epstein.
Um dos advogados de Strauss-Kahn disse na sexta-feira que não descarta que seu cliente tenha sido vítima de um "complô para destruí-lo politicamente" quando foi detido por suposta tentativa de estupro de uma camareira de hotel em Nova York.
